    Mariage superbe dans un cadre exceptionnel. Merci beaucoup à Gérard qui nous a accueilli si chaleureusement. Nous en garderons un souvenir merveilleux.

    Les vieilles pierres, les nombreuses cours intérieures, les arcades romaines, la végétation fleurie abondante et la décoration chinée et agencée avec soin ne vous laisseront pas indifférents. C’est sans compter le professionnalisme et la flexibilité des propriétaires.
    Les activités sur place ne manquent pas : grande piscine chauffée, table de ping-pong, baby-foot, terrain de volley et deux très grands parcs arborés. Mobiliers et vaisselles (pour 180) inclus.
    Tous nos invités ont adoré le lieu, chacun à leur manière : farniente au bord de la piscine, pétanque endiablée ou encore balade à vélo. Les autres prestataires ne sont pas imposés mais une liste de prestataires réguliers est fournie. Il n’y a pas de cuisine collective à proprement parler mais 5 cuisines standards (les traiteurs ont l’habitude apparemment). Il y a 50 lits (très bonne literie) mais les propriétaires peuvent installer des lits parapluies ou matelas au sol pour les jeunes enfants en plus. Le linge de maison est fourni. Beaucoup de frigos mais un peu éparpillés.
    La location se fait du vendredi au lundi mais nous avons pu déposer les boissons au frais dès le jeudi et nous avons rendu les clés le lundi à 13h. Les prix varient selon la période de l’année (nous nous sommes mariés en juillet, période la plus chère).

    My husband and I had the most magical wedding at Chateau Sentout. We didn’t want to leave. It was the most perfect and beautiful setting and our hosts, the owners Gerard and Mary were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. From start to finish, they helped us with suppliers, planning and made everything so easy. The Gites are so well equipped with everything you need and our guests were so complimentary of every aspect of the weekend. The swimming pool and facilities were so clean and tidy and everything is well maintained. We used a local caterer recommended by Gerard and Mary for the wedding day and the food was absolutely delicious and the staff and service superb. We were so lucky to be the first couple to get married in the beautiful newly refurbished barn and it’s perfect for all weather conditions. We couldn’t fault this Chateau and would love to return in the future. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our wedding.’

    Both Sally and myself and all of our guests, family and friends wanted to let you know what a wonderful time and vacation we had when we stayed at your chateau in August 2018. It was a stunning property with some wonderful history. The layout, accommodation and facilities were excellent. Your wonderful welcome and help was very much appreciated. The grounds and the swimming pool provided lovely spots for us to relax and enjoy the sun as well as host our fun sports and games day.
    The special hog roast meal and croquembouche cake for my wife’s birthday that you helped to organise were superb. The fact that you allowed us to treat the chateau and all of its accommodation as ours was wonderful and we respected your wishes to keep everything tidy and return it to how it was when we arrived. We have many photos and also the drone video footage for some great memories that we will never forget.     Sentout is a wonderful place, made even more wonderful by hosts Gerard & Mary. We had warm welcome when we arrived to celebrate our wedding this September with 50 guests. Gerard was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, even helping to arrange an impromptu wine tasting for us with a local wine producer. The gites were clean and comfortable and contained absolutely everything you may need for a self-catering break, essential considering there isn’t really anything within walking distance restaurant-wise. We were able to make our wedding uniquely ours with Gerard allowing us to use the spectacular chateau and grounds exactly how we pleased, providing we returned everything to how it was when arrived. Our guests were full of compliments about the venue and accommodation and the wedding was a huge success 🙂 We would not hesitate to return!

    Château Sentout is one of those places that you can only dream of when you’re searching for your wedding venue. Aside from being picture-postcard perfect, there are gites to sleep 50 people, a nice pool, barbecues, a cherry orchard and a stunning rosary with lots of places to spend time with your friends and family. The host and owner (Gerard) is kind, generous, patient and most importantly of all laid back. We had 50 guests stay at the Château and another 50 stay nearby for a long weekend around our wedding day on the Saturday. Ours was very much a DIY wedding in order to ensure it was truly ‘ours’ and also to save a little on costs and Gerard was quite happy to allow us to use his property as we pleased providing we respected it and returned it back to normal before we left. We ordered two spit roast pigs, via Gerard, from a local farmer who came with them pre-roasted and barbecued them on site to finish them off. The meat was delicious and came with a non-vegetarian side of local beans, which we complimented with potato salad and a tomato salad. We prepared a separate vegetarian option ourselves also, but in hindsight we would have preferred to book caterers that could have handled this ourselves and so we wouldn’t have had to find saucepans and serving dishes from various different gites. Likewise, chilling our own shop-bought drinks was difficult with having to use the various fridges across the 9 gites whilst people staying in those gites needed the space also. Overall, we had a really great experience and felt that Château Sentout was completely perfect for our needs – I’d recommend it highly to others and really feel that Gerard is a great man.

    Une fois les grilles du château refermées, vous êtes dans un cadre magique, chaleureux et très bien sauvegardé par les propriétaires qui se rendent disponibles pour vous recevoir et vous faire visiter le domaine.
    Nous avons vécu un super mariage dans un lieu idyllique et hors du temps. 3 jours en compagnie de nos invités, une végétation très fleurie avec de superbes roses, des vielles bâtisses restaurées avec goût. Les invités ont beaucoup apprécié le charme du site, des logements et les prestations (piscine, jeux, espace naturel, gîtes très bien équipés…). Le plus de ce lieu lors de “petit” mariage est de pouvoir loger sur place une cinquantaine d’invités et apporte une tranquillité aux mariés.
    Nous avons apprécié notre cérémonie laïque entre les arcades et les rosiers et notre cocktail extérieur sous les arches!!!
    En résumé, merci à Mr et Mme Peltier d’avoir restauré ce lieu et de permettre d’y célébrer des événements importants de la vie!!!

    Le Château Sentout a été l’unique lieu que nous avons visité pour notre mariage qui a eu lieu en mai 2016, car il réunissait absolument tous les critères que nous recherchions : cadre magnifique avec charme, de quoi loger la plupart de nos invités dans des conditions exceptionnelles, extérieur magnifique capable d’accueillir des barnums si besoin pour faire la réception en extérieur, une salle qui contenait tous nos convives, une roseraie qui en plus au mois de mai était en fleurs, la piscine pour le lendemain, et j’en passe !
    Nos invités nous reparlent encore de notre mariage et ne tarissent pas d’éloges sur le lieu de réception ! Nous y avons passé 4 jours, tous auraient adoré prolonger !
    Peut-être dans quelques années y célébrerons-nous l’un de nos anniversaires de mariage !

    Nous nous sommes mariés au Château Sentout en juin 2017. Nous sommes tombés amoureux de ce lieu en le visitant lors de nos recherches pour trouver le lieu de notre mariage. Nous cherchions un lieu convivial, avec du charme, où nous pouvions héberger un grand nombre de nos invités, pour que notre mariage soit un grand week-end en famille et entre amis où tout le monde se sent bien. Se marier ici est alors devenu une évidence! M. Peltier a été des plus accueillant et disponible lors de nos nombreuses visites pour la préparation de l’éventement ainsi le jour J. Merci encore à lui pour ce merveilleux moment! Tous nos invités sont également tombés sous le charme du lieu et seraient bien resté plus qu’un week-end au Château Sentout….

    We certainly had an incredible time at Chateau Sentout.
    We thought we needed to tell you what a spectacular time we, and ALL our guests, had at Chateau Sentout! It really was a dream week, and the venue and team you have there…including Ciara, were amazing. It was a fairy tale!
    We cannot thank you enough for your supportive and kind guidance throughout, that ensured that everything went to plan and created memories that will last a lifetime.
    Sentout really does have magic, and I think you must have known this when you first saw the tumble down building all those years ago. You have really created something wonderful and we are so glad to have found you and the wonderful Chateau.
    I realise there was lots of us, so if you find anything is not as you hoped please let us know. We want to leave everything with the same positive feeling that we experienced from the moment we first saw the venue a year ago.
    The marquee company were so impressed with the venue they have requested photos. The photographer Jacques, from Paris, also said it was an incredible venue and has offered to create an album of photos that you can use to promote Sentout and also his work. Please see some photos below to give you a flavour of the day. All 120 guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and we also have some friends who are planning to have their wedding at Sentout next year because they loved it so much!
    We left behind a couple of large black boards which Sandra said would come in useful for future weddings.
    We cannot thank you enough for allowing us to create such fantastic memories and we would always recommend Sentout to anyone who asks.
    We wish you many more years of making dreams come true at Sentout and we plan to return for many anniversaries!

    Our time at Sentout was magical! We used all apartments for the wedding week, and my American family was charmed by the Chateau. Gerard was a marvelous host, very accommodating and helpful when issues arose in apartments. Our visit was mid-March, spring was just starting to bloom-the grounds were beautiful even though some plants were still dormant. We held several different events throughout the week, utilizing different areas of the Chateau grounds. Each apartment was unique, and had it’s own individual rustic charm and decor. Apartments were well stocked with all the items you would need to cook and entertain, and a grocery store only 10 minutes away to purchase food!
    The surround countryside was stunning. Close enough to Bordeaux and St. Emilion for a day trip! I would highly recommend Sentout for a wedding or large family gathering. We are already thinking of ways we can gather everyone and return!

    Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite au château Sentout mi-octobre. Notre groupe (14 français et 16 anglais) était logé dans 5 gites, tous avec le confort recherché (chambre avec salle de bains, grand séjour). Nous avons pu prendre nos repas tous ensemble dans le plus grand gite qui est doté de la vaisselle pour un grand nombre de convives.
    Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la gentillesse et la disponibilité de M. Peltier. Avec son épouse, ils ont parfaitement restauré l’ensemble des bâtiments pour en faire un lieu de séjour très agréable et plein de charme.
    C’est une adresse à retenir pour visiter la région bordelaise, au milieu des vignes et tout près de la Garonne.

    Merveilleux site qui nous a accueilli le temps d’un week-end. Notre mariage s’y est déroulé, entouré de notre famille et tous nos amis.

    La végétation est magnifique, le cadre atypique et enchanteur, le lieu calme.

    Quant aux propriétaires, ils sont
    remarquablement disponibles et chaleureux.

    Un lieu superbe, pour découvrir la Gironde ou organiser des réunions familiales et/ou amicales.

    We stayed for 5 days, been to a wedding. The lodging is in “houses”, units with several bedrooms and adjacent kitchens, dining rooms and backyards. There is also a covered swimming pool but we did not get to test it, were too busy with touring the countryside. The rooms are quite small but comfortable, equipped with all the necessary accessories, including irons and ironing boards and hair driers, Also the kitchens are fully equipped and decorated with antique items. It was the beginning of spring and quite cold still but central heating radiators kept us warm.
    Now about the chateau and surroundings: your hosts Gerard and his wife are excellent and provide outstanding service. The buildings are ancient but very well kept, clean and quiet. There is a very large friendly dog, forgot her name. Just outside the chateau there are narrow roads zig-zagging the country side, if you drive beware! The French are used to them but to us from North America they are not like highways! One lane roads made into two lane ways. Close by, a few minutes away there is Chateau Christian, a nice winery where you can taste and buy decent bottles of Bordeaux, red and white.
    I recommend this destination to any one who wants quiet and peace. You can also cycle there, there were quite a few road cyclists, but be aware of steep hills all over the place, some so steep I believe I would not be able to climb.

    An extraordinary place with even more extraordinary hosts. Gerard and Mary could not have been more warm and welcoming and went above any expectations assisting us in making our tour of the area perfect! The location was much better than I envisioned as it was very easy to drive back and forth to Bordeaux and other areas of interest in just a short and stress free drive. I do suggest building in a long enough visit to have time to enjoy the surroundings and offerings of Chateau Sentout. BOOK IT, you will mark your stay as one of the special times of your life.

    Thank you Gerard for a very memorable visit to Chateau Sentout. We chose the chateau for our choir tour to Bordeaux in 2014 accommodating 40 people. We had a wonderful stay. We particularly enjoyed dining together in the beautiful gardens of Roseraie, the chapel and how perfect it was for our children. A splendid venue, we hope to come again soon!

Gerard is the perfect host and the Chateau provided us with everything necessary for a perfect stay. The Chateau is a terrific location for exploring the district. At the same time a short distance to Bordeaux and the shores of Arcachon.

    We chose Chateau Sentout for a 30 years reunion of alumni from Poland and France, we were 25 people from both countries at the end of September 2013 and we stayed 3 nights. We had a wonderful stay, everybody enjoyed the warm welcome of the owner, the nice location to visit Bordeaux and its Chateaux, the perfect organization and wonderful evening with a mechoui (whole lamb grilled in the garden), the good equipment that allowed us to cook food for dinner and prepare our own breakfast every day, the privacy of the several gardens for late drinks and the good confort of all rooms. I recommend this place for anybody who would like to spend a few days or even only a night in a historical Chateau near Bordeaux at reasonnable prices. Special thanks for the warm welcome of the owner and his wife!

    We had an excellent week at Sentout. It is in a fantastic location. Gerard and Marie were excellent hosts. The apartment was large, extremely well equipped and comfortable. We were able to relax by the pool, tour the area (we liked La Brede especially) and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Outstanding.

    What a glorious spot!! We adored the castle and the grounds. We had such a lovely stay during our visit in July, the flowers were incredible and the weather could not be beat. The accomodations were exactly what we had hoped, very comfortable for 5 adults and 1 baby! Gerard and Marie’s hospitatlity was wonderful, and they made us feel right at home. We enjoyed taking our daughter for a swim in the pool, what a luxury! And what a great spot to go day-tripping all around the Bordeaux region. This truly was a remarkable spot and we will highly recommend the Chateau Sentout to friends and family! Mercy beaucoup!!

    The accomodation was beautifully decorated in keeping with the historic chateau, the chateau itself and its grounds and facilities (especially the pool) were just what we’d hoped for, and we were made to feel very welcome by Gerard and Mary, even down to the bottle of wine on our doorstep on our first evening.

    We’ll certainly recommend Chateau Sentout to our friends and hope to be back soon.

    Hi, à tous ceux qui le liront:

    Un superbe lieu, super la piscine, idéale qu’il fasse soleil ou non,
    A la maison, les enfants avaient l’habitude de rester scotchés à la maison à leurs jeux électronique…pouah.!

    Les meilleurs journées pour nous:
    1 ** Escalade dans les arbres à “Arbor & Sens”, à 5 minutes vraiment, vraiment amusant. Mes deux garçons 8 et 10 ans y ont eu du bon temps, nous y avons passé 2 jours !!
    2 ** Plage à Arcachon et à l’Atlantique (pas bon pour nager) mais superbe plage. La meilleure route est par l’intérieur des terres.
    3 * Séance de dégustation. et on a apprécié les bouteilles le soir !!

    Quelle bonne surprise ! les photos du website ne réflètent pas la réalité, car il est difficile
    d’en rendre la beauté et l’athmosphère avec des photos.
    Nous avons eu des vacances reposantes et espérons revenir pour passer plus de temps à la piscine, jouer au ping-pong, babyfoot, badminton, et jouer sans arrêt à cache-cache, la prochaine fois que nous viendrons.
    En espérant revenir pour voir comment les fleurs et les arbres ont grandi…

    Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir et avons réellement apprécié d’être ici, dans ce superbe endroit.
    On a beaucoup aimé nager dans la piscine, tous les jours. On a aussi beaucoup joué au volleyball.

    Nos chambres étaient formidables, on y a dormi très bien et…tard, c’était comme si nous étions chez nous.

    “Por segundo año consecutivo hemos disfrutado de unos días de vacaciones entre viñedos de Burdeos. Allí la vida es relajada, muy relajada. Mañanas de lectura y visitas a mercados locales y pequeñas villas medievales. Una buena compra de hortalizas frescas, quesos, panes y empanada con la compañía de los vinos adquiridos en una bodega a dos pasos de la casa. Luego comida al aire libre, sesión de piscina y un paseo en bicicleta recorriendo por carreteras comarcales los Chateaux, bodegas y plantaciones de viñedos que se extienden por el horizonte. ¡Todo un plan alternativo con dos niñas de cuatro y un año!

    Pero, sin duda, el punto fuerte del viaje estos dos años ha sido el alojamiento en el Chateau de Sentout, un lugar especial para aislarse del mundo regentado por un matrimonio que mima y cuida con celo cada detalle del establecimiento: desde las estancias hasta los jardines pasando por numerosos rincones en los que sentarse a ver la vida pasar. ¡Incluso hay una capilla con equipo de música y cd´s de música clásica que puedes escuchar a tu aire, en sesión privada! ¿alguién da más?

    Quel bel endroit ce “château Sentout”, nous garderons un magnifique souvenir de notre semaine dans la région bordelaise où nous avons visité des lieux bien différents : St Emilion, Bordeaux, dune du Pyla, cap Ferret, Arcachon,…

    Dommage de n’avoir eu plus de soleil, nous reviendrons à une période plus clémente.

    Un grand merci pour votre accueil, nos enfants ont adoré cet endroit autant que nous.

    Au château Sentout on ne s’ennuie pas. On va à la piscine, on se balade dans le château. Il y a des jeux pour tout le monde ; Il a fait beau et chaud, ça m’a plu. J’aimerais bien habiter ici. Il y a un grand jardin, c’est pour les enfants. Je m’appelle Ambre Royer, j’habite près de Paris et j’ai 11 ans et demi.

    Ah ! Quel beau château ! Félicitations aux propriétaires pour leur accueil et pour avoir su rendre une âme aux vieilles pierres avec beaucoup de goût.

    D’un avis unanime, de notre côté, le pari est gagné : Accueil chaleureux, installations nickel, gîtes adaptés à notre complexité familiale…etc…etc.

    Nous espérons que du vôtre il en a été de même et que nos troupes, pas toujours disciplinées

    Mais néanmoins de bonne volonté, auront respecté l’esprit des lieux et de ses propriétaires.

    Fantastic week at Sentout. Try the kayak on the Ciron, Cazeneuve and the Dune + beaches at Pyla. We had a lovely time and we enjoyed it !

    This charming place invites you to rest, dream and relax. The property – an old historical chateau – is located above the river Garonne surrounded by vineyards, grass land and small forests. Appartements are nicely furnished in a traditional way, kitchens well equipped, grill stations, table tennis, pool (heated and covered) and large areas of grass land inspire for different activities. Customers sercvices are absolutely excellent. In short, Chateau Sentout is a cultural microcosmos within a wonderful cultural area.
