The heated pool
Our large heated pool is open from April to October with a secure playground nearby with swings for young children. Many other games and activities are available for older children – Table tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Boules and Badminton, as well as a Table Soccer Game are at your disposal.
The pergola in the adjoining exotic garden is the perfect spot for relaxing after playing badminton. Adjacent to the pool, there is a Table tennis, a Volleyball and Basket net and a large place to play Boules. Nearby is a sandpit for children with buckets, rakes and shovels.
The main court yard
The Main courtyard is the meeting point of our guests. Every evening in the summer they are gathering and chatting while tasting a local wine with other holiday makers becoming soon new friends.
“Chiara”, our gentle Pyrenees Mountain dog is loved by the children. She likes having a walk with our guests, waiting at every crossing to be sure not to lose them on the small road passing near chateaux Lacaussade and Lagarosse, with beautiful landscape to Tabanac on a hill.
In the orchard
From June to September ripe fruit from the orchard may be picked and enjoyed by our guests. Jam and marmalade may be prepared by them and brought back home, if left at the end of their stay with us…
In the field facing the Chateau is a pretty pond with ilies yellow Iris and lotus where goldfishes and carps are swimming. The most patients will discover a very big carp about 20 years old.
Facing the valley
Most of our guests are enjoying having a drink on the orchard wall facing the valley and the Landes forest, watching sun sets which are usually magnificent on this South-West side of Sentout.
Friends and families from all over the world gather at Chateau Sentout for anniversaries and special celebrations. Roseraie garden is particularly appreciated at day time and at night for diners with illumination of the stone arches.
The highlight of the evening with friends is the Méchoui prepared in the courtyard of the old press by a sheep farmer of the Gironde. For many of our guests, Méchoui is a discovery and a treat because our herd who is an expert serves it to our guests grilled on the outside and pink inside.
Under the columns
In spring or fall, the courtyard under the stone columns is a very pleasant meeting place for lunch or festive dinner even if it is raining. Several caterers around there can serve meals at reasonable prices. As in Spain, the evening meal extend and Bordeaux wines from neighboring producers or from more prestigious chateaux, accompany these dinners.
